Word of God We believe that the Bible (both the Old and New Testament), God’s Word, is fully inspired by the Holy Spirit. The Bible is infallible & inerrant in their original languages as God inspired these men to write. It is the final authority for faith and life for the believer (2 Timothy 3:16; Psalm 33: 4)
Trinity We believe that there is One Living and True God (Deuteronomy 6: 4). God eternally existing in Three distinct persons; The Father; The Son (Jesus); and the Holy Spirit. These Three Persons in One God are co-eternal and co-equal in power and glory. (Matthew 28: 19; 1 Corinthians 12: 4-6)
Salvation We believe that salvation is a free gift from God offered to the sinner through Jesus Christ. Salvation means being saved from the righteous judgment of God. One can be saved through faith alone, in Christ alone, by His grace alone. One’s ‘good works’ has absolutely no bearing on one’s salvation. Through faith in Jesus, are we pardoned of all our sins (past, present, and future) and we can be declared righteous in the sight of God (Galatians 1: 8-9; 1 Corinthians 15: 1-4; Psalm 62: 1).
Jesus We believe that Jesus is the promised Messiah and is the Second Person in the Trinity. Jesus has two natures as being fully God and fully Man; He was born of the Virgin (Genesis 3: 15) Mary. He lived a pure, sinless life and, on the Cross, offered himself as the Perfect Sacrifice to God to atone for the sins of the world. By His death He appeased the wrath of God and brought reconciliation for all who believe in Him. Jesus died a physical gruesome death, was buried and on the third day rose again. He ascended to the right hand of the Father and is awaiting the day when He will return to judge the world (1 Corinthians 15: 1-4; Isaiah 53)
Resurrection We believe in the resurrection because Jesus was resurrected. He is the Resurrection and Life. We believe that those who have been justified by God, will be resurrected to eternal life with Him; yet, those who have rejected the Gospel, will be resurrected to damnation for eternity (John 11: 25-26).
Mankind We believe that all people are sinners by nature (Romans 3: 23) and that the wages of sin is death (Romans 6: 23). We believe that sin has separated us from a Holy God (Isaiah 59: 2) and that the only way for people to return back to God is by believing in Jesus as their Lord and Saviour (John 14: 6) and repenting of their sins.
The Church / Body of Christ We believe that the True Church is not a building or a denomination but a Body of Believers, with Jesus as its Head (1 Corinthians 12: 12-27; Ephesians 1: 22). The Church is made of people who have placed their trust in Jesus for their salvation (John 3: 16). This ‘invisible’ Church, also known as the Bride of Christ (Revelation 21: 2), can be differentiated from the local or ‘visible’ church, which has both saved and unsaved people inhabiting it (Matthew 7: 21-23).
